So proud of Julie Renehan. She is exactly what we need more of in our society -- someone who sees a need and does all she can to do something about it. There is little that Julie can't do.. and little she has not done for PBN; she has been a project manager, project developer and is currently on our Board of Directors as well as an active legal volunteer. Thank you Julie. This recognition is well deserved!

Our Executive Director, Linda Rio Reichmann, featured in this week's Hinsdalean Newspaper! Quick correction to the article: PBN has provided more than 12,000 hours of free legal aid since it was formed in 2011, and over 3,000 hours in 2016 alone (pretty incredible, right?!).

Oak Park's Wednesday Journal chronicled the origins and mission of PBN. PBN seeks to help bring more attorneys to those in need by offering free legal services by partnering with existing legal aid agencies. Now, 250 volunteer attorneys have donated an estimated 12,000 hours since PBN's beginning in 2011.

Those are the words of the "Marquette Park 4" Four young men who were convicted of murder and given life sentences twenty years ago, but were exonerated and freed in February due to the hard work of pro bono attorneys... one of them being Stephen Hackney, a member of our PBN Advisory Council.
